TRECKMAN HEALTH SERVICES
In 1979 Treckman Health Services was inaugurated in Whitby and five years later moved to Oshawa to the office of Central Health & Chiropractic. Services started with the practice of Therapeutic Touch, then expanded to include Reflexology, Colonic Irrigation, Ear Candling, Therapeutic body work and nutritional counseling.
ADENA TREVOR
Adena Trevor is the owner/operator of Treckman Health Services. Trevor is a Registered Nurse who did her nursing training in Britain. In Canada she nursed in Ajax & Pickering General Hospital, working mainly in the Maternity department. After taking a course in Therapeutic Touch, Trevor’s focus turned to holistic nursing, and Trevor then became qualified in Reflexology, Colonic Irrigation, Ear Candling and Trager. She also took courses in Crystal healing, Touch for Health and expanded her knowledge of nutrition.
Trevor has contributed articles on Colonic Irrigation and Therapeutic Touch to newspapers and magazines. She appeared on “Riley Live” on Rogers TV, has taught workshops on Therapeutic Touch, and has appeared on numerous times in health shows in Oshawa, Port Perry and Toronto. She is passionate about her work and her goal is to keep clients out of hospital. She feels that through cleansing, good nutrition and helping to improve and direct the flow of client’s natural energy, relaxation and natural healing can take place. Good nutrition means consuming a balanced diet that includes an abundance of vitamins, minerals, fiber and nutricuticals which are frequently absent from foodstuffs in North America.
Trevor is married and has two sons, three grandchildren and one dog. She enjoys Scottish Country dancing, golf, her cottage, hand crafts and fixing things.
TREVOR’S PHILOSOPHY
Too many people succumb to severe illness which could be prevented by getting back to the basics of healthy nutritious food, cleansing, exercising, fresh air, clean water, sunshine in moderation, relieving tension, a positive outlook and having fun. Since leaving hospital Trevor feels she has leaned about “health”. Natural therapies combined with supplements of vitamins and minerals can lead to better well-being. She believes that clients with “incurable” diseases can be helped, and has known her clients experience greater energy, clearer thinking and a more positive outlook. The human body is incredible and each part is linked to the others. Cleansing of the colon can relieve headaches as can reflexology to the thumbs. Our minds are powerful, and she believes we are what we think.
